When Singles Gather 2.0

Description

I believe in singles, I believe there is more to our lives than marriage and I believe we can crush the head of divorce if only we can get it right before we marry. There are some mistakes our parents made, that we don’t need to make. We can start ‘righting’ those ‘wrongs’ now. Now is the time to lay the right foundation.

WSG was laid upon my heart for one reason:

Many people prefer to pressurize you to marry, they prefer to make expensive jokes about your singlehood. But how many people uphold you in the place of prayer? How many people encourage you to stay focused and keep loving God regardless of whether you are single or not?

Well, that’s where I come in. I have chosen to uphold as many singles in the place of prayer and in the place of godly counsels and interactions as I can. So if you like the idea, then you are reading the right resource. February 14th means many things to many people, and some times, the sight of the many proposals and lovey-dovey couples just makes my stomach turn. Not out of envy, it just reminds me of how much it will be cool to be that loved. I am sure you know that feeling right?

So I decided that instead of feeling lonely because of another person’s love life, I am going to spend quality time in the place of prayer, communing with God. And because I know many people are in those same shoes, I decided to announce to everybody.
